Tambun Caves is situated in tambun, on the outskirts of Ipoh. Neolithic rock paintings are definite attractions in these caves. The 2,000 year old paintings were first discovered in 1959 and they speak of the early dwellers of the malay peninsular. Perched high among hill peaks, visitors to these caves can enjoy a panoramic sunset view of Ipoh city.

A 15 minute drive from Ipoh towards Tanjung Rambutan brings you to the foot of a limestone hill where a rejuvenating experience awaits you - an invigorating hot bath from a natural spring. The facilities offered include hot water pools, saunas and rest rooms.

A brain-child of the first prime minister of malaysia, tunku abdul rahman. Dated back in 1969, the project was implemented upon the recommendation of a joint committee comprising representatives from lembaga totalistator malaysia (ltm), the agriculture department and the veterinary services department. Its aim was to conduct studies and the viability of setting up stud farms to breed local thoroughbred horses. The National Stud Farm is set in 120 acres of rolling pastoral land with some of the best equine facilities for breeding thoroughbreds in the tropics. From its humble beginnings as an experimental farm, it has steadily attained recognition as a successful breeding centre in the region where quality thoroughbreds have been bred for More than two decades. Located at tanjung rambutan, about 16 km northeast of Ipoh city.

Located near the Police Field Force North Brigade base, this natural waterfall is a popular picnic site for tourists and locals.
